I first found UGEE UG-2150 drawing monitor in GearBest where it is sold for $399.99 including shipping, but since the display has been around for a while, you can purchase it in the usual places, including Amazon as already mentioned, but also eBay, FastTech, Aliexpress, and others. The project aims at improving Linux support for generic graphics tablets, and the good news is that UGEE UG-2150 should be working in Linux, since it’s part of the list of supported “tablets”. I’ve included one of the videos with unboxing and a quick demo with a Mac.īut what about support in Ubuntu or other Linux distributions? I have seen any actual demos, but I’ve seen DIGImend project mentioned several times about graphics tablets support. The drawing monitor has been around for a couple of years, so you’ll find a few reviews – generally positive – on sites like Amazon or YouTube. Speaking about drivers, UGEE provide both Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10 32-/64-bit drivers and MAC OS X 10.4 or greater drivers on their website. The monitor ships with a P50S rechargeable pen, two pen holders, 8 different tips, a remove ring, a USB cable, a power adapter and cord, VGA and HDMI cables, as well as a drivers installation CD and a user manual. Full device – 517x 321.89 x 30mm excluding the stand. However, the 21.5″ monitor has a different target applications, and is specifically designed for drawing as it ships with a 2048-level pressure sensitivity stylus. So, is it something so obvious that I'm gonna kick myself for, or do I have an issue that you gents have a solution for?.A few weeks ago, I wrote about a 7″ HDMI touchscreen display, and today when I first come across UGEE UG-2150 monitor, I thought I had found something similar but with a bigger display size. I have seen a lot of Wacom/Catalina problems that would just be solved by everything I have tried and installed/re-installed. I haven't replaced it, but I have a unit waiting at Best Buy to pick up. The Wacom is connected via USB-C to a HDMI adaptor that supports 4K. If you push on it on the Wacom, it will register pressure. Wacom software works, but if you run diagnostics, it reports and error and boots the display out, needs to be rebooted (only issue I didn't find a solution for, rebooting makes the software work again). Mouse works on tablet (working as a separated display). It works as a drawing tablet with the Apple Pencil. Re-Installed the Catalina OS X Bundle ().Ĭonnected Handbrake to latest iPad Air, and drew.
Used a cheat sheet emailed by Wacom on how to "truly" remove everything Wacom from your Mac before every Driver re-install.Ĭonnected Wacom to different ports on the iMac. * (Checked that your tablet was compatible).Ĭonnected the tablet directly to the iMac (no hubs). (Set permissions correctly on on the "Security & Privacy" preference panel). Htt (Install the latest drivers: Driver 6.3.40-2) Visited and implemented the solutions at these sites: Got here today, but with the same pen problem out of the box. The Ugee 2150 is the same tablet monitor as the XP-Pen Artist 22, both are manufactured by Ugee. The manual is clearly written and well-printed. Ugee has a page with troubleshooting tips. When I finally succeeded in installing the drivers, it worked for two weeks, then the pen just refused to work anymore, to the point that I after trying everything, I also returned to amazon for another Cintiq 16. Installing the 2150 driver was pretty easy on both Mac and Windows providing that the computer is free of old tablet drivers. Like an idiot, I ordered instead a Wacom Cintiq 16, and it's been hell. Wacom and Catalina OS (software or hardware?, or "here we go again with this topic") Hallo īought a Chinese XP-PEN Artist15.6 Pro, which worked beautifully out of te box, but due to a nagging lag issue, I decided to return it to Amazon. I'm writing this on my MacBook Pro because the Mac Pro is now a boat anchor. The black Apple logo is pretty much sacrosanct, no? It's inaccessible. If I simply select the upper-left-corner black Apple, to do a restart, or even shut down, or restart from a different drive, I am greeted by the spinning pizza of death, and then the Finder crashes. If I try to restart in Safe mode, it doesn't work. Now, after I wiped the boot disk and reinstalled Mojave-which gave me a few problems-the OS isn't stalling, but it's become useless in a new and different way: everything crashes. Until it stalled again, a few minutes later. Then all my moves would show up at once, in a fraction of a second, and the Wacom tablet would be useable again. Most noticeable was Stalling-whatever I was doing, no matter how basic and banal, the screen would lock up, the Wacom cursor would be immobilized, and even the mouse cursor, which was still moveable, would become ineffective. Everything went to H_ in a H_B_, but quick. After problems with upgrade, now problems with Mojave 10.14.6 On a 2012 Mac Pro, I made the mistake of installing the July 15 security update, which worked until I decided to install some new screensavers.
